How To Get Through Work When Your Baby Wont Let You Sleep

Step by step instructions to Get Through Work When Your Baby Won't Let You Sleep I went through the main 18 months of my more established girl's life in a total murkiness. She was anything but difficult to take care of, permitting me to invest energy with my significant other and, on unique events, really practice before bed. Be that as it may, at that point she would wake at regular intervals for arranged reasons she was ravenous, cold, had night fear, or only completely abhorred me. At that point, I worked in New York City and was fortunate enough to have the option to go back and forth however i wanted my activity for that first year. On the off chance that I was awake for two hours at 4 a.m., I would return to rest at 6 a.m. what's more, perhaps get a 8 a.m. train. My weakness, but terrible, was sensible. At the point when my subsequent little girl was conceived, I was at a new position I needed to head to, and my job was extraordinary. I was relied upon to be on schedule and to perform in a similar way I did preceding my leave. I battled the initial hardly any months returning to work. My little girl was a decent sleeper and I worked a marginally later move (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), however in any event, being woken up once every night with the abundance requests of a new position and now two youngsters left me back in that steady haze. Presently, my most youthful is 2 and a half and likes to hop on beds and go around the house like a feline just before sleep time. And keeping in mind that she doesnt wake up frequently, there are numerous evenings, similar to one this week, where a bad dream or resolute need to have her cover with Minnie Mouse confronting her makes a hard next work day. In any case, the same number of mothers do, we attempt to discover approaches to endure these stages. Here are some endurance tips Ive learned on the best way to traverse your work day without failing miserably: 1. Feed the weariness: Espresso appears the primary line of barrier and evident decision. In any case, I frequently find that regardless of what I drink, it doesn't take that I just got punched in the face feeling out of my eyes. In the event that espresso works for you, at that point extraordinary. Keep on utilizing this strategy. You might need to consider different approaches to get invigorated, however, such as drinking a smoothie with some protein in it or snacking on a couple of bits of chocolate (I wont tell). 2. Get stimulated: Keep a wet wash material close to your work area and once in a while pat it on your eyes, face, and neck, permitting the adjustment in temperature to wake you up. Ask that companion who is truly into basic oils for a citrus and eucalyptus combo. Plunge it on your wrists and continue sniffing it throughout the day. Make a Pandora station with your most playful music, similar to my undisputed top choice: 90s Hip Hop Workout Mix, and keep it on throughout the day. Get one of those work bicycles under your work area to keep your feet moving. Keep in mind, this isnt about working out. Its about creation it to 5 p.m. 3. Take walks...outside: I abhor going exposed to the harsh elements of reality or in the downpour, yet on days I am finding my office seat as agreeable as my lounge chair, I have to get up and move. Set the clock on your telephone for 15 minutes and challenge yourself to continue moving until it goes off. Youre going to loathe the beginning of the procedure, yet you will unquestionably feel better after it. 4. Re-work your work day: Indeed, even on your most depleted days, you will encounter an unexpected surge of energy sooner or later for the duration of the day. Attempt to see this time and timetable your most significant gathering or venture at that point. Modifying your week after week work calendar may likewise help, remembering that relying upon the age of your youngster, this circumstance is likely impermanent. This may require a discussion with your chief. 5. Phone in debilitated: This isnt a joke, nor is it morally helpless vocation counsel. I recall one day calling my significant other from work after the tenth day straight of no rest. We were both crying on the telephone out of sheer fatigue, pondering when we could ever feel like people again. At the point when you have many long stretches of constant weakness your resistant framework and emotional well-being endure a shot. On the off chance that you have an inclination that you are totally suffocating and putting the babys diaper on in reverse for the umpteenth time, at that point its chance to take a day to pull together. Get a sitter or drop your youngster off at childcare, and return home and rest. You will maintain a strategic distance from real days off in your future by taking preventive measures. Tune in to your body and psyche. After I at long last got my little beast to bed an evening or two ago, I went into my room and discovered my more established girl snoozing with her book in my bed. I cuddled in close to her, gazing at her little adult looking face, recalling all the restless evenings I had willing her to rest in my arms. Flabbergasted that we are here at this time, where rest is all she needs to do. I never figured I would endure, however I did. 5 Rules for the Executive Job Search - Workology

5 Rules for the Executive Job Search - Workology 5 Rules for the Executive Job Search The job search can be especially tough for executive level candidates.   Salary requirements are high and their are a limited number of open positions available which are often go unadvertised.   Earlier this year, the Ladders conducted a survey which listed the top 3  biggest mistakes  made by highly compensated and qualified job seekers.   And to round out the list to five, Ive added two more based. 5 Rules for the Executive Job Search Desperation.  I had a VP level candidate at a previous employer call more than 15 times in one day without leaving a message.   The candidate was among the two finalists and had just interviewed two days prior.   Because my cell phone was forwarded from my office phone, I was able to see that he had called 15 times without leaving a message.   He did however, leave a message the next day but left a bad taste in mine and the hiring managers mouth.   Someone at this level must be able to maintain composure and professionalism at all times. Poorly Prepared Marketing Materials.  Out of date resumes, cover letters, and online profiles are one of the most common mistakes of job seekers regardless of their education or salary level.   Most CEOs have spent hours in meetings talking with their management teams and marketing departments agonizing over PR, marketing, and advertising strategies with careful planning and consideration.   Use an Resume Writer or Executive Coach to provide you personal branding and marketing support. Lack of Interview Preparation.  Interviews are your chance to sell your skills, qualifications, and what you bring to the table.   Bring in a team of industry experts, professional level contacts, and others to help you get the support and preparation you need and deserve. Dont rely on only your brilliant personality or savy business sense to help you land the job.   Most C-Suite candidates have a stellar supporting cast just like the assistant coaches and trainers on Division 1 level college football and basketball teams.   Roy Williams or Joe Paterno would not be where he is today with out a supporting cast.   Why should your job search be any different? While I certainly agree with the Ladders survey, I believe they left out two key mistakes made by executives while searching for a new position.   These two bullets are often overlooked opportunities for job seekers.   And because executive tenure is often much higher than the average job seeker (which is 18 months), executive job seekers do not practice or consider these important skills in the context of the job search as frequently. Nerves.  Since most job seekers at the executive level are not in the job market very often, they are often very uncomfortable in situations they are not familiar with.   A Director level candidate had a stellar resume.   My Director and myself were eager to meet him after conducting several pre-screen phone interviews.   Once he arrived to the interview, however, it was clear he was very uncomfortable, flustered, and rambled uncontrollablely.   Although extremely impressive prior to meeting him, he was not confident and comfortable enough and was no longer considered for the job. Your interview starts from the first phone call.  I have had a number of high level candidates who were either rude to the receptionist that was scheduling the interview by phone or upon arriving to the interview and checking in with the receptionist.   Administrative assistants and secretaries who work closely with their executive teams are called upon more often than not to provide insight and thoughts on candidates.   It pays to always be humble and confident yet gracious when in the job hunt no matter what position level or job title. What are your thoughts?   And should the executive job search be that much different from the average jobseeker.

What is Work-Life Balance Anyway - Kathy Caprino

What is Work-Life Balance Anyway Last night, when my 11-year-old child implored me to play soccer with him (his preferred indoor past-time), and I said no for the tenth time (since I was hotly composing my 100th work email for the afternoon), I halted abruptly. I lifted my fingers off the console, turned around in my deskchair, investigated his eyes, and gave him a major, long hug. I chose to leave working, and play indoor soccer instead. (My little girl joined as well, and we had a total impact, giggling insanely the whole time). At the beginning of today, I started reconsidering work-life balance. What is it, truly? How would we (would it be a good idea for us to) characterize it? I accept every one of us needs to characterize it precisely the manner in which we need to, however for me, work-life balance implies these things: I have power over what I state yes and no to (in work and at home) I like my decisions (I'm not abrogated with blame, disarray, and hatred over what I'm doing) I've stopped by working â€" accomplishing more than should be expected, more than is sound and more than proper (in both my family life and at work) I'm aware of what persuades me to go about as I do, and I'm satisfied with those inspirations I've defeated my dependence on work I'm clear about how my conduct as an expert lady would affect (and give a good example to) my better half, kids, and others I'm available to criticism from others about my conduct, and I adjust suitably On the off chance that I can say the above explanations routinely, I feel I'm finding some kind of harmony between my own life, my work life, and the personalities of both. What's more, when I can say the above proclamations with guarantee, it likewise implies that my life is unfurling such that makes space for the accompanying positive results: I'm managing head-on with my duties, in an enabled way I'm doing what's important to keep me and my family secure and developing I'm seeing that what I do matters I'm adapting admirably to my pressure I'm open about when I need assistance (and clear when I don't need any more assistance) I feel in charge My family is progressing admirably, and my own life is fulfilling My work is working out in a good way, and my vocation is fulfilling No little thing, work-life balance, right? I'd love to get notification from you… what accomplishes work-life balance intend to you? How would you know when you have it, and when you don't? Do you accept work-life balance is feasible, these days, and during confused occasions such as our own?

Cover Letter Bloopers Lessons Learned

Cover Letter Bloopers Lessons Learned ShareShare2A friend recently shared a funny post about some strange statements found in cover letters, and I thought Id pass them along in the spirit of learning. I am sicking and entry-level position. This unwell sentence reminds us that the automated spelling and grammar checkers in Microsoft Word and in your email program are often ridiculously inadequate. Use them, but also proofread very carefully, or better yet hire a professional. Skilled proofreaders are available for as little as $2.50 per page. Try a site like elance.com or contact me and Ill refer you to someone. Im submitting my resume to spite my lack of C++ and HTML experience. See the entry above re: spelling checkers, but theres another issue here. If you dont have all of the desired qualifications, should you apply anyway? It depends. Do you have a connection in the company who can put in a word for you? And are the skills youre lacking non-essential, just nice-to-have? If your answer to one or both of these questions is yes, it may be worth applying. I realize that my total lack of appropriate experience may concern those considering me for employment. Are you really totally lacking? Or do you have experience gained from school projects, volunteering, or internships? Emphasize what you do have, and dont be apologetic. However, if your resume doesnt very closely fit the jobs youre applying to online even though you know you can handle the job its time to refocus your job search time on networking. Your real, three-dimensional self may be more convincing than your resume. If your experience isnt even close to the job requirements, you may need to beef up your skills or consider adjusting your career path. Ill need $30K to start, full medical, three weeks vacation, stock options and ideally a European sedan. Never bring up salary or benefits until there is a definite job offer on the table! Naming a too-low figure could damage your bargaining position, and a too-high one could knock you out of the running. And skip the European sedan. I think a Honda might be a better investment mine never needs repairs! I need just enough money to have pizza every night. Was this in response to the instruction: Please include your salary requirements in your cover letter? The problem with that request is that a cover letter is no place to be talking salary already. Name too low a figure, and your negotiating position is ruined possibly along with the employers opinion of your abilities. Too high, and they decide they cant afford you. If your qualifications are outstanding and/or you have a personal connection, you could simply ignore the request. Or try stating something like this. I understand your concern about salary requirements. It is difficult to be specific before we have discussed the responsibilities and opportunities involved. If your needs and my abilities are a fit, I believe well be able to agree on a fair compensation package. On the other hand, if the posting says Applications without salary requirements will not be considered, you might use the verbiage in the paragraph above, adding something like this: My research on salaries for this type of position shows a range of about $80-100K for a person of my experience and skills. (Notice that you are not committing to accepting $80K, nor are you necessarily saying you wont ask for more!) Is pizza really enough for a happy life? Maybe, if its a veggie pizza from Blondies in Berkeley, California. Mmmm. If this resume doesnt blow your hat off, then please return it in the enclosed envelope. Thats safe enough. If the explosives didnt go off already, theyre unlikely to detonate on the way back either. Everyone is looking forward, she added.Of course, as were all doing such a large amount of digital communication, it makes sense to give some serious thought to how we may be coming acro ss online. CJ says she Googles every single person she is interested in interviewing and then cuts her shortlist down from this. The always-on nature of digital communications provides a lot of information for recruiters to use: good, bad, and ugly, she says.Although it is very possible to represent yourself inaccurately online, gaps of poor judgment say a lot. Recruiters can build a rounded picture of a person if they research so much available information online. What you see and what you dont says a lot.The active jobseekerFrom a jobseekers perspective, adopting a proactive approach over the festive period could be a potential gamechanger. One person who will be keeping her eyes open this Christmas is recent graduate, Harriet McWilliams. And its all about making the most of your contacts.Harriet explains: Gaining a large network, consisting of a variety of people, is important, as even if some of these people may not be specifically relevant to you, they may have knowledge or contacts that are.The headhunterCorporate Handyman,Martin Ellis, offers some advice and encouragement for anyone who is looking for a new job. Mobility Comes to Large-Scale 3D Printing

Portability Comes to Large-Scale 3D Printing Portability Comes to Large-Scale 3D Printing Portability Comes to Large-Scale 3D Printing Thomas Edison got celebrated for various creations and developments that changed how America functioned and lived. Yet, he wasnt great. Among different disappointments, his endeavors at changing homebuilding missed the mark when his framework to assemble poured-solid houses demonstrated excessively costly. Over 100 years after the fact, analysts are attempting to succeed where Edison didn't through new adaptions of 3D printing. Working from a versatile, followed stage, one of the most current 3D printing frameworks vows to expand and stretch out the innovation to the development of structures in segregated zones and brutal conditions. Still being developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the mechanical 3D printing framework has effectively constructed the dividers of a 50-foot-breadth, 12-foot arch in under 14 hours. What's more, its engineers state it can utilize a wide scope of materials to print, including concrete, yet additionally the dirt found nearby that the machine itself can exhume, and tighten dividers and different components of a structure. Working from the Mediated Matter Group inside MITs Media Lab, Steven Keating says the general vision is to utilize science as motivation and as a plan device with an end goal to push the development business toward new structures and strategies. MMG focuses on nature-propelled plan. The work accentuates planning and building structures without parts, utilizing the 3D printing stage to manufacture structure and façade and afterward moving to components, for example, inside shafts or windows. A light-painting exhibit of the new frameworks capacity to print huge scope structures and produce complex carefully controlled bends. Picture: Steven Keating/MIT Keating, who earned his doctorate in mechanical building from MIT, notes little has changed in development strategies as the years progressed. A structure is worked of collected parts that are in a bad way or nailed together. Parts are sourced in an industrial facility, he says. The option is to assemble progressively like an organic framework, he says. The mechanical 3D stage, known as the Digital Construction Platform, should copy science by review the structure as a creature carefully planned and worked with a framework that consistently interfaces and supports the entirety. The hardware comprises of an enormous mechanical pressure driven arm fitted to a changed over truck with a littler automated arm toward the end, controlled by sunlight based photovoltaic boards. The blend gives a lot of reach just as expertise in applying material. Think about the little arm as a finger, says Keating. It considers remuneration and increasingly complex moves. That is a major contrast from other huge scope 3D printers being created. Most use gantry cranes or rails to move and a fixed structure to help the spout. That restrains the size of the article they are working to the physical imperatives of the emotionally supportive network. Keating says the versatile, free-moving stage can manufacture something of any size and, as a result of its little impression, can undoubtedly fit into most building locales. Print set up froth can be powerfully colorized, delivering persistent shading inclinations. Picture: Steven Keating/MIT Key to the framework is its capacity to fluctuate the thickness of the material as it is being applied, permitting it to tighten dividers or construct a shade, all to the measures of building regulations, Keating claims. The framework can likewise blend materials, for example, soil for development of a compacted earth structure. The arms likewise can be fitted with different apparatuses to help capacities, for example, removal or processing. We needed this to be not only a 3D printer, says Keating, whose chip away at the framework drove the advancement as his doctoral theory. We needed to do processing, to get an a lot higher goals than what we really required. For the test, Keatings group utilized the computerized stage to print polyurethane froth squares usually utilized as formwork solid development. We needed to have a framework that we could utilize immediately, says Keating, noticing that there is still a lot of research expected to carry the framework to its maximum capacity. We needed to reproduce a procedure that is handily coordinated into a building site. So we 3D-printed formwork. The empty froth squares are loaded up with cement to shape dividers, and inside and outside components can be joined to them. Keating says the material restored inside 30 seconds and the whole test was finished in 14 hours, demonstrating that the framework can be adjusted to existing tasks and satisfy guidelines of existing construction laws. Furthermore, he says the test indicated the framework can effectively print the arch, a twofold ebb and flow structure with more multifaceted nature than a standard structure. Since the gadget can print while it is being driven, It possibly has a boundless level form space, says Keating. Keating says the group got nearby temporary workers to guarantee they were utilizing existing development prepared materials and gauges were being kept. We acquired contractual workers to do hydro-pressure test, he notes. It was significant for us to put out full determinations, a vital aspect for drawing in subsidizing. Its underlying achievement has just pulled in firms, for example, Google and Autodesk, which are contributing cash and space for additional turn of events. That could incorporate creation the stage considerably more intelligent and completely self-feasible. Keating says sensors could make estimations to decide the best places to place in windows, in view of the site explicit area of the sun. Ground radar could decide the best spot to place in an establishment, and the printer can frame dividers of changing thickness for protection dependent on bearing: southern introduction may require a more slender divider than a northern presentation. Dividers could be tightened dependent on load-bearing needs. The stages capacity to work with a wide range of material makes it appealing for use in the creating scene, segregated zones where expenses of conventional structure materials are restrictive, or fiasco alleviation where individuals need cover. It can exhume soil and with some fiber make a packed earth structure, he says, and its size permits it work in restricted spaces. Theres a wide range of novel prospects, more than some other strategy, Keating says. For future space investigation, it can possibly take a shot at Mars utilizing soil and ice. Back on earth, What in the event that you put seed into a dirt blend for a packed earth building? You could have a green divider. The distance away the framework is for business application is to be resolved. Keating says the following difficulties are to discover enough subsidizing to perform huge scope investigate on bigger structures. Size and scale will take quite a while, he says. For Further Discussion We needed to repeat a procedure that is effectively coordinated into a development site.Steven Keating, MIT Media Lab

Seven Tricks for Great Job Search or Networking E-sends Seven Tricks for Great Job Search or Networking Emails Email is the essential technique for correspondence for work looking and systems administration, when all is said in done. Your messages should stand apart on the grounds that they are one of the better composed ones. Inboxes are loaded up with awful ones, as well. Try not to be horrible. Here's the ticket: The Law of Threes. Say close to 3 things in your email, at that point close it with your promise to a following stage. This won't just keep you from meandering, yet it will assist the beneficiary with grasping your central matters rapidly. Send your email to yourself first. There is no better method to wear the shoes of your beneficiary than to send the email to yourself first. Open it, read it so anyone might hear to get mix-ups, and print it to perceive what it looks like as a paper archive. I promise you WILL discover things to alter. Check the occasions you use varieties of I versus You. Remember, this pursuit of employment isn't about you. This correspondence, regardless of whether it is an application, a systems administration email, or a development, is about them and how you trust you are the best up-and-comer and worker for them. 3 things to remember about fear and how to use it to drive success

3 things to recall about dread and how to utilize it to drive achievement 3 things to recall about dread and how to utilize it to drive achievement Eleanor Roosevelt once stated, Do one thing consistently that alarms you.We all have dread. None of us are so fortunate to be altogether safe to it. Some decide to be devoured by their feelings of dread, while others decide to grasp them, become a close acquaintence with them, and outfit them to fuel their fantasies. The distinction between the two is the previous wind up carrying on with an inadequate existence of blame and despondency, while the last rise more grounded, more astute, and bound to be on the way to success.Fear can deaden you or assist you with taking that jump forward. After over 25 years as a business visionary, I can reveal to you that there is just one dread worth having - that you have just today, and just today checks. What's more, you need to amplify today.A not many years prior, I was on a family occasion at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. We took a vessel to the reef on a delightful Australian summer day. Not a solitary boat was in sight. The vessel pull ed up over a fragment of the reef that was scarcely underneath the waterline. We bounced into the flawless, warm blue water with our swimming rigging to appreciate the unimaginable exhibition that lay covered up underneath. As I was swimming and coasting along the warm momentum, abruptly something that seemed as though a line showed up beneath me and the warm water turned chillingly cold. The line was the water edge that dove from the security of the reef into the obscurity of the ocean. The delightful sight underneath me abruptly went completely dark. I understood that I had gone over the reef into the cold sea and there was a genuine possibility the solid momentum could divert me or dump me into the way of a shark.Fear overwhelmed my general existence for a second, and afterward endurance intuition kicked in. I yanked my head out of the water and saw the reef was scarcely ten feet away. I began swimming back as quick as could be expected under the circumstances, presumably the fas t est I have ever in my life. Before I knew it, I was back in the excellence and solace of the reef, yet for around twenty desensitizing seconds, I had headed toward the clouded side of Mother Nature and she was scary! One second I was in an agreeable, warm, and wonderful spot with out a consideration and the following second, I was in a dull, cold pit. That occurrence was an obvious token of how close we as a whole are to the line and how intently this line tails us for the entirety of our lives.Sometimes, we as a whole need a little dread to help us to remember what is really important. There are three things we should recollect about fear.1. Dread is energy in disguise'Fear is only fervor needing an attitude adjustment.' â€" A Keeper's TruthLet's take the case of skydiving. Stepping off a plane at 14,000 feet height into nothingness inspires two totally various reactions in two people.Jill is excited and amped up for flying through the sky like a winged animal, feeling the breez e all over. Jack is incapacitated by dread, envisioning most pessimistic scenario scenarios. In Jill, the courageous nature lying lethargic within each one of us stirs to the crude, intemperate solution of dread and it gives her an inconceivable high when she grasps it.But for Jack, only the idea of accomplishing something outside of his usual range of familiarity strikes incomprehensible dread in his heart. So whether you experience dread or fervor extremely just relies upon the focal point you decide to glance through at the world. It boils down to a choice.Interestingly, little youngsters are the least influenced by dread of obscure. Most small children are unquestionably more courageous and brave than numerous grown-ups. As we get more seasoned, life has a method of making endless supply of dread in our inner mind. Adulthood mists our focal point with self-question and other negative messages we see and hear each day.So clean your focal point and change your concentration from dre ad to fervor. This takes practice, so start little and work up to the overwhelming lifting.2. What doesn't deaden you, stimulates youThis is my interpretation of the familiar maxim - What doesn't slaughter you, makes you stronger. My experience discloses to me that dread is an unwanted guest in our life just when we are seeking after something we truly need. That is generally a sign we are on the privilege track!Think pretty much all the occasions you were overwhelmed by dread and there's a decent possibility you will see a theme. No doubt it was similarly as you were going to set out on a significant progress in your life, or were wandering into something totally new and obscure. This is totally typical. Indeed, I would venture to such an extreme as to state, on the off chance that you are not apprehensive, you ought to maybe return to your decision. In a sense, dread shows us the way. It uncovers something we have to chip away at. What are you going do with it? Do you permit it to deaden you, or guide you? Permit your dread to be an empowering power that impels you forward. Let it reveal what you have to doâ€"and afterward go do it.3. Dread is an incredible inspiration for growthAt a developmental level, it was a sharp feeling of dread during the hour of the stone age man that successfully helped keep people out of threat. In any case, since life has advanced and we no are longer in endurance mode, that feeling of dread hasn't generally left. It just showed into something different. We are presently terrified of progress, vulnerability, and new things.Living in this kind of dread leaves you stuck in one spot perpetually, in a fanciful safe place that is much the same as a kid's familiar object. We as a whole have one and haul it around similarly as Linus does in the Peanuts cartoons. Familiar objects resemble substitute moms. They give comfort and give sentiments of wellbeing and security, much as our moms would accomplish for us. But, there comes when we sh ould leave the youth home and with it, the security blanket.Humans are wired for nature and it's only simple to adhere to the recognizable. Yet, except if you figure out how to relinquish that familiar object, you will never realize what lies on the opposite side of dread. An existence of consistency and commonality isn't an existence of growth.Leaning into dread is difficult to do in light of the fact that it makes us helpless. At the point when you take that jump, some of the time you fly, however some of the time you bite the dust. In the two cases, you are ensured to wind up in another place. In synopsis, your life extends as your boldness and readiness to develop grows. Incline toward your dread today by making little strides, and permit it to broaden your reality and guide you on your way to success.Vijay Eswaran is an effective business visionary, persuasive orator, and donor and the writer of the top of the line book In the Sphere of Silence. Stop Hiding and Start Your Job Search

Stop Hiding and Start Your Job Search I talk to a lot of job seekers. I talk to a lot of coaches. Over the years Ive had coaches say if I tell my clients about JibberJobber they might waste their time on it, like they do on Facebook and LinkedIn!  I help them understand that JibberJobber isnt a social network, so you wont get lost looking at cat memes. But their point was made, loud and clear. Coaches are concerned that job seekers are wasting their time. That is because they are. It is easier to do Thing A than Thing B, even though Thing A is meaningless. Example: Its easier to clean or organize your email than it is to email someone on your chicken list. Its easier to do some honey-do tasks than it is to go to a networking meeting. Its easier to revise your resume again than it is to get or go to an informational interview. The things on the left are low-return, the things on the right are high-return. The things on the left are more comfortable, and easier to do. They are also what I call hiding. Check out this post I wrote in 2012 called Stop hiding and actually start your job search. Stop Hiding and Start Your Job Search I talk to a lot of job seekers. I talk to a lot of coaches.
